Guest guest
Hi , I read this figure of 40% in a journal and it was confirmed by my RE. This includes very mild Ashermans and many of these women can still get pregnant. But, the figure is still much much higher then our docs would lead us to believe. Also, if you have a repeat curretage to remove placenta etc., then 75% of these women get it. It is so wrong for docs to say that it's rare....it REALLY erks me beyond belief. I agree, the fact that it is so high means that the standard of care and medical schools need to change the way they do things. So, do insurance companies. It should be required to have a sonohystogram after EVERY post partum D & C and maybe even every post miscarriage D & C too. It is a relatively minimally invasive procedure that can really prevent alot of heartache later on. That is my 2 cents. Thanks ,
