My sister has been unemployed for 3 years now. Becky, Go to the Health Care.gov website is all I know for her to do. We finally go coverage for my son through military since that changed back. Also each state has different supplemental programs depending on her reasons for being unemployed etc. > I am just going on the experience I had with my own son (but he was student sometimes), there are short term insurance, per incidence insurance and the higher the deductible the lower the premium. In Texas, the Health and Human Services website lists area public health resources, you might check what state she lives in. Also, 211 is a national number that lists assistance but in Texas it states: If you are calling from outside of Texas, or have technical difficulties when dialing 2-1-1 from your cell/mobile, voice-over-IP, or office location phone, please dial our toll free alternate access number at 1-. For TTY access, please dial 1-. There are so many different types of programs at different time of fundings and depending on her situation which we would not know, so those are the few agencies, I have dealt with: Health Care.gov, the 211 phone number, and the Department Health and Human Services. Good Luck. Bennie
