Guest guest
, On drugs.com, it does say that a side effect of oxycodone can be vision changes. It is cause not to wait to contact your pain doctor. Can you call them today? I have been legally blind since third grade. My vision got better with hard contacts, but not anymore because I have hand tremors since my thirties. My vision has worsened and at one point my eyes were so dry from anti-depressants, that I used Systane gel eye drops at night before bed time. My doctor Suggested these and are available over the counter. But, I wouldn't put any other drops while you are on prescription drops. I would wait a month or so for your eyes to settle before changing prescriptions. Do you normally wear contacts or glasses? After contacts, my eyes are out of focus with my glasses for several days. Keep in touch. Ellen > E. H. wrote: > The oxycodone works a little better, but I have had one major problem since starting it: I have become legally blind in my right eye, even with glasses. I get dry mouth really bad sometimes and with the combination of Lyrica or Neurotin or other medications that effect vision, you can get double whammy. Lab Tests and the maximum daily dose to Tyelenol is 4000 mg per day, ten of these per day is 3250 mg and you are only taken 6 per day which is comfortably under the maximum and if you labs are okay, it would not be a worry. Dry eyes tend to cause irritations, scratches on the eye, and blurred vision. Reported high incidence of sweating, anorexia, and clouded vision, this from a special on Opoids Side Effects which is a good article as it goes through each side effect and why they occur and treatment for most of them. Lyrica side effects with vision: Pregabalin may cause blurred vision, double vision, clumsiness, unsteadiness, dizziness, drowsiness, or trouble with thinking. Make sure you know how you react to this medicine before you drive, use machines, or do anything else that could be dangerous if you are not alert, well-coordinated, or able to think or see well. If these reactions are especially bothersome, check with your doctor. This medicine may cause you to keep extra fluid in your body or cause you to gain weight. If this side effect is bothersome, check with your doctor. This type of " fluid gain " is hard to get off and took me eight months, it is like a hormonal weight gain and its not like a condition you can take a diuretic and you pee it off. My vision and eyes make me feel like my eyes were going to pop out. The effect was accumulative the more I took it and was like a build of the effect. Eye Disorders — Frequent: vision blurred; Infrequent: diplopia, dry eye, and visual impairment. Of the various side effects of muscle relaxants, the most common ones are changes to the vision which an involve blurred vision or double vision, slight dizziness, feeling of lightheadedness, drowsiness and some people even complain of a dry mouth. Over a period of time the body adjusts to these common effects and it gets used to the drug. So such effects need not be taken that seriously and you can do without visiting the doctor. However, if the problems persist even after the initial period then it is advisable to consult the doctor. I have experienced the blurred vision, inability to focus, double vision, and flashes of light. I found it was combination of medications and also Lyrica was the worst. I take Morphine, Cymbalta, and Neurotin and know that they cause vision problems and I am unable to read without glasses and get blurred vision when my eyes are tired. I have to use eye drops also. If it were me, you should go through all your medications interactions and side effects and see which ones have eye problems as a side effect. I hope you find out what is going on but this does not sound good.Let us know what you find out. Bennie

Guest guest
Hey mine is completely opposite. My pain is so all consuming that my vision goes bad, It's when I have enough oxycodone in me that it clears up to my normal old guy vision. Been on Oxy's for several years now but everyone reacts diferent. If you think it's the oxy's I would defiantly want to find out. Sorry could not be more help. good luck Butch > > Hi All, > > I saw my pain management doctor for the second time on 12-9-11. He switched me from 5/325mg Norco (hydrocodone) 6 times per day to 10mg oxycodone every 4 hours. He made the switch because I was worried about exceeding the maximum recommended amount of acetaminophen per day. > > The oxycodone works a little better, but I have had one major problem since starting it: I have become legally blind in my right eye, even with glasses.
