have another epidural. The Prialt can be delivered by the pump. But so far

Prialt has scared me off. I see my doctor next week to tell him what I've

decided which is this stuff scares me!

All,

I now have the diagnosis of arachnoiditis from the injections that the Doctors

state are " natural' and don't harm you but with research the medications they

inject are neurotoxins and cause scarring and problems and even articles on

Spine Universe state after three they are not effective for long term pain.

I am scared of the intrathecal pump because it is invasive and irritating the

spinal canal that I already have problems with and the research on Prialt has

really scared me with the contradictions and side effects. The article lists you

cannot take these medications with it: I take thyroid medication Cymbalta,

hydromorpone, Neurontin and xanaz to sleep or muscle spasm so I would never be

able to take it and the psychiatric and neurological effects really concern me.

I hope that you get relief from this medication but it seems the medical

community as always get excited about a medication that is non opoid but I just

look at it as it is just another medication replacing another medication. I

don't care if it is sterile cow manure if it helps with the pain and this is a

snail extract and I just cant deal with invasive and medication that effects my

cognitive abilities.

• clonidine

• Cymbalta (duloxetine)

• doxycycline

• Effexor XR (venlafaxine)

• hydromorphone

• Klonopin (clonazepam)

• levothyroxine

• Lunesta (eszopiclone)

• Lyrica (pregabalin)

• methadone

• metoprolol

• Neurontin (gabapentin)

• omeprazole

• Pamelor (nortriptyline)

• ProAir HFA (albuterol)

• Synthroid (levothyroxine)

• Wellbutrin (bupropion)

• Wellbutrin SR (bupropion)

• Xanax (alprazolam)

Good Luck and it is helping you ? I hope you get something that helps you and

please let us know how you are and you have the right to refuse injections and I

do. If they want you to have cortisone, you can take it orally.
