Guest guest
Steve, When I read that the grandparents bought such an expensive and inappropriate item for a Christmas gift without consulting you, her parents, I felt really upset that they could dismiss you all. The child is 3 and, " MONEY " is not impressive to her, nor her peers at this age, although I can see at about age 16 when her grandparents buy her a car, what an impressive gift to show off. Any way it seems that it could head that way. My parents did something similar with my first born and I had to have a discussion with them and thankfully they understood. Although when my oldest turned 16 they wanted to buy him a car. (I feel they had a minor brain cramp, plus the 16 year old was begging loudly) so I had to talk to him. We eventually reached a compromise on the car Ellen, I am glad that you got assistance. I can't get squat from Michigan and even though I keep on trying they said I make too much money. Yeah by $3.00. So no food stamps, no help with heat and this program of no shut off now has my bill over $1,000 total and I'll never pay it off. This month alone the electric was 499.90. The landlord is no help about repairs and I am going to save up and leave this state as soon as I can Anyway soon to be a new year, so hope everyone has a low pain day and a better New Year.
