How I ended up with Prialt

Hello every one

I was on 300mcg/hr fentanyl and all the morphine sulfate I needed for break

through.

In Aug 2009 I had the pump installed with Morphine in it. The Dr. at the time

said to stay with the same dose of meds and we will see if the pump is helping

with the pain.

About 4 months later we changed it to Dilaudid. Still no results. The Dr. I

started with and who installed the pump left her practice to move down south

about a year ago. She found a Dr. in the area who took about half of her pump

patients. The first time I met he he asked for drug test, that the insurance

company would not pay for. After that he wanted to start dropping the dosage of

Fentanyl and Morphine, which I did reluctantly.

I think he does not believe me about my pain levels and how it is effecting my

life and health. My wife has even talked to him. Now I am trying the Prialt at

1.249mcg/day. The pump will be increased next Tuesday by 50%.
