Guest guest
Hi, Many years ago I read several books by Louise Hay on self wellness. I enjoyed them, and her tapes. I bought " You Can Heal Your Life " several years ago. I started re-reading it and find it inspirational. I am usually wholly offended by these tactics because I have felt it makes light of my real, physical illnesses (Fibro, ME, PCOS, POTS, IBS, Chronic Lyme, cystitis, DDD, etc). As I age and seem to get worse, I need a coping strategy that let's me get some happiness in spite of being sick, tired and in pain. It is frustrating that my private insurance carrier classified all my documented illnesses as mental/nervous conditions. I am still appealing and know they only classify like this to save money. Anyway, I know that my physical illnesses cause unhappiness because they limit my ability to be involved in my kids' lives and my life. I don't know if medications, physical therapy, surgeries or other medical interventions will make me well. I'm looking to find joy in spite of being physically sick. I'm wondering if any of you have done this and, if so, how. I'm familiar with A Course on Miracles and Ann on. I also believe in God and prayer. Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks, Lori Sent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerry
