Guest guest
Does anyone have a good response for Dr.s' who don't give any pain meds, because they don't want a patient to become addicted? I've had chronic pain for several years now. Tried injections, seizure meds, fibro meds, supplements, etc. Yet no one will give pain meds. In meantime, pain levels mean I can't work, function, think, and have caused documented cognitive issues. I've been going to a Pain Management Center since June. They've tried several sets of steroid injections in various places, nerve block injections and now want to do RFA. So far, nothing has helped, or lasted. I talked to them about this and the Dr told me that due to more laws and guidelines in our state, they do not give meds. He also said it's very tough any longer to get them. I just saw a new Rheumy this week and he said to see the neurologist for my cognitive issues (memory, focus, word finding), EVEN though she has reported that they are due to my high and chronic pain levels. It's so frustrating. Mel
