Guest guest
My husband is 26 and is starting to get white hairs near his ears. (He's naturally a red head.) Some of his arm hairs are also white. His facial hair is still its normal color. Since early graying doesn't run on either side of his family, could this be caused by a deficiency of some sort? His diet is better than most Americans but he's had more junk in the last seven months than normal. Thanks for any suggestions you have. Guest guest
I¹m just learning about copper toxicity after learning about it from Theresa Vernon, a speaker at the WAPF conference. Here¹s a little bit of what I¹ve learned and hopefully I didn¹t mis state anything. Copper toxicity can cause early graying. A hallmark sign of copper toxicity is absence of dream recall. Have him try taking a zinc supplement. Zinc pushes copper out of the body. If the zinc makes him feel a little sick or uncomfortable then likely it is copper toxicity as the copper is being flushed out. Guest guest
I've heard kombucha drinkers say that it helps to restore hair color, although that hasn't been the case with us. -PattyT > > My husband is 26 and is starting to get white hairs near his ears. I noticed the first one a few years ago. My mom got her first gray hair when she was 14. I think it might be a genetic defect in copper metabolism, because we both seem to have some sensitivity to amines in food, and my mom much more than me, and amine detoxification is copper-dependent, as is hair pigment production. Copper deficiency could be an issue, but I'm sure there are other nutrients involved in hair pigment production that I don't know about, as well as non-nutritional influences, or hormonal factors influenced by nutrition further upstream. Mercola on gray hair: http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2009/03/17/Why-Your-Hair-Turn\ s-Gray-as-You-Age.aspx I think Chris' thesis has been born out by veterinarian studies but the solution, which is simple in animals, doesn't seem to transfer easily to humans, which suggests that in humans the cause may be multi-factorial. -- " What will you do, Burt, if your friend Ron actually gets elected President?
