Hi :) I recently started sprouting beans - so far I've done chickpeas and mung

beans, but the same method works for any kind. Here's how I do it.

Soak beans in water in a glass jar for 12-24 hours (the larger the bean the

longer the soak). Drain water, place cheesecloth over mouth of jar and keep in

place with a rubber band. Tip jar upside down at a 45 degree angle and prop up

(I put mine into a cup). Every twelve hours rinse and drain beans and put back

to sit. Sprouts should appear in a day or two. Let them get as big as you like

(usually as long as the bean) and then enjoy :) And yes, sprouting is an

excellent way to increase nutrition and decrease bad things like phytates.
