Guest guest
Moderator's Note: Here's the blog containing some of Craig's story. We normally don't approve these things, but anything that promotes biofeedback and tells a member's story at the same time is helpful. This is not a site that asks for money or collects information from the readers. The Foudation Craig works for, does charge for courses. - Lyndi http://bfechronicpain.blogspot.com/ Hi, my name is Craig . I live in Sydney Australia, and I work as an educational assistant for the Biofeedback Foundation of Europe. I have suffered CHRONIC PAIN RSD CRPS that started in 2004. I am asking people just like myself with chronic pain to have a look and tell people just like myself tips on how to live with chronic pain in their life. I will also tell your Group about myself. and give your Group answers. Thanks, Craig
Guest guest
All, I believe biofeedback is a tool like any other and has to fit your lifestyle. I went to my biofeedback training and it helped me to realize that my breathing, ans starting from my toe to my head is " all happy now " but mytranducers strapped to me I could manipulate my blood pressure and temperature which impressed me and I innately do this when I have a strong cycle of pain. I now have intractable pain and it is not a tool I can use during the times of intense intractable pain as my neurons do not want to listen to me and I take my muscle relaxant and it relaxes where I need it and I can get the sleep I need to get. I also like Reality Therapy concept from Glasser because it helps to disregard the all or nothing thing to name a few, An example, No one likes me, Now Bennie you know your dogs love you so I feel better as I have meet better dogs than some people sometimes. Craig, I am glad it is a tool you can use and I reach into the realms of studies, many out there in the alternative fields, imagery, acupuncture, look at the Siminton Cancer Clinic with their mind uses, neurostimulation, and it has to relate to you own life , I believe. Sitting in a wookd, listening to birds and identifying with biniculors by creek with electric heat suit and socks is much better for me, but that is me. I am glad you are here. I had to have bio feedback with my pain therapy, if insurances do not pay there are many cognitive training types with counselors that do get paid. I am looking into the ketamine IV therapy my prior pain doctor is doing. Glad I didn't make him mad. Bennie
