Guest guest
I googled around and found that not-for-profit hospitals typically agree to take patients with low income that do not have insurance. There is the Hill-Burton fund. There is an application process. I would ask your doctor or call the hospital admitting office. It is also possible to set up payment arrangements with the finance office at the hospital. Twenty bucks or ten dollars a month promised may get your surgery. Won't know til you ask. There may be state programs available outside your states medicaid plan. A call to your 211 or United Way can be a good place to start. Don't panic. There is help out there. It just takes digging around and lots of patience to find it. Good luck! Ellen in TN
