Guest guest
I recently heard that bromelain from pineapples should be helpful but have not had time to research it. I heard this from a lecture that Galen Knight gave at the WAPF conference. The other thing is lymphatic massage. Good luck. Guest guest
wobenzym is commonly recommended. any liver support will help move the lymph too. check at onibasu to see what tcm recommends. i have had accupuncture for mastitis, which tcm considers sluggish lymph. not the same as lymphedema i know, but it did make an amazing difference. desh ____________________________________________________________ Gain financial freedom! Guest guest
Thanks! That's what I heard too... Maybe it explains my obsession with Pineapple. I love that stuff but tried to limit it as I wanted to keep carbs lower to lose weight. Now I wonder how much of this has been lymphedema =( It is becoming quite noticeable on my right side and I am more than a little disturbed. Anyone know what causes the lymph nodes to clog up?? Is it toxins?? I started taking DE to help me detox but don't know what else to do. My sister said the doctors think diuretics are the worst thing to take so I am making sure not to get any herb supplements that do that. Guest guest
There is an article " Real Milk Cures Many Diseases " by J. R. Crewe, MD on the Weston A Price Website. It describes the use of raw milk in cases of edema. I know you stated lymphedema, but it might help. You should read the article. I have some edema right now and along with using castor oil packs it is helping. " The therapy is simple. The patients are put at rest in bed and are given at half hour intervals small quantities of milk, totalling from five to ten quarts of milk a day. Most patients are started on three or four quarts of milk a day and this is usually increased by a pint a day. Diaphoresis [copious perspiration] is stimulated by hot baths and hot packs and heat in other forms. A daily enema is given. Guest guest
I have read that there is a special treatment you can get, but it sounds like you need a Drs. prescription for this. It involves regular lymphatic massage and using a special type of bandage that helps to reduce the edema and discourages fluids collecting in the extremities. As I understand regular ace bandages won't work. Many wholistic cancer treatments involve taking large amounts of digestive enzymes to break down the protein in tumors. Maybe a raw food fast with emphasis on tropical fruits that have alot of enzymes, like papaya and pineapple would be helpful, even adding extra proteolytic enzymes. I went on the Ann Wigmore wheatgrass raw foods diet for 3 months many years ago. My body was pretty toxic. It really detoxified me well, hard and fast. If you're really toxic it can knock you on your butt. I could have used more detoxification, but since I tend to have thyroid problems and a totally raw food diet can exacerbate that, I got soo cold and exhausted I stopped. During the detoxification, the lymphnodes in my left leg became slightly swollen and I had some minor edema for a short period which both resolved as I continued the detoxification. So, I think it may just be from too many toxins building up in one area. You have to get enough exercise or lymphatic massage for your lymph system to work well. Your lymph system does not have it's own circulation. Lymph is moved through your body through manipulation of the skin or from body movement and exercise. There are some people who believe that wearing a bra is closely related to breast cancer. The idea is that the lymph fluid is held by the bra in the breast area and not allowed to circulate to drain toxins away from the breast. I wear a bra as little as possible because of this. Getting more exercise when you're not wearing a bra probably helps. I don't know where your edema is most severe, but think about how your circulation may be limited in that area and how to increase circulation there. Have you had surgery, an injury, illness or even something you were born with that has limited your circulation in that area? Or maybe just because of your lifestyle, you just do not get enough exercise in that area. Guest guest
This post reminded me of rebounding which is supposed to be great for the lymph system. It¹s just a mini trampoline and jumping on it for a few minutes each day can help the lymph system keep moving. Guest guest
You may be interested in the work of Gaston Naessens as well he invented another powerful microscope around the time of Royal Rife, and focused on the lymphatic system as the root of all disease, or more specifically the congestion of the lymphatic system. He said when it got congested toxic conditions built up in the body and it led to bacteria and viruses morphing into forms that caused cancer and disease. He showed that getting the lymph flowing again was crucial to recovery. His method was injecting a mixture he invented into the lymphatic system. I think given new developments in alternative health, that protease enzyme supplements would work as well, especially if combined with other enzymes in a formulation like Peptizyde, Wobenzyme, or Vitalzyme. You can find out more about Naessens here: http://www.whale.to/v/naessens.html > > > > > > > >   > > > > > >   > > > > > > Does anyone have any nutritional or natural therapy tips or information > > > to help lymphedema?? It seems that I may have it and it's getting worse > > > not better. =( > > > > > > My sister has it, officially diagnosed as she has medical insurance. > > > She also has the same autoimmune thyroid disorder that I have. > > > > > > Thanks! > > > > > > Dawn > > >   > > >    > > > > > >> > > > >

Guest guest
Thanks for all the tips! The enzymes I did read about and will be ordering now that I have some back up for what i read. I also planned to get a rebounder for ages now so maybe that will help. Unfortunately I cannot do the milk regimen with a toddler, animals and home to take care of... lying in bed all day just isn't an option =(. Also after reading all about the A2 Beta Casein I want to make sure I can get some of that when i do it instead. With all my problems I don't want to risk creating new ones. I drink only occasional milk. Last summer I was drinking about a quart a day but was gaining weight from all the carbs I guess! I was feeling good but weight gain is dangerous for me at this point. I need it to come off. Dawn
