Guest guest
Hi all, I just got a mild heartburn today. I've never got heartburn before. I have taken zantac for temporary relief, but I was wondering if there is some natural relief. Of course, there has been some change in food in the past few days, but nothing drastic. I was just wondering what could have caused it. Is it something to be worried about ? TIA, Suman.

Suman, on rare occasions when I get indigestion, I drink a little plain raw homemade kefir. It's very soothing immediately and stops the indigestion very quickly. I used to take ginger capsules, which usually helped, but would take about 15 or 20 minutes to be effective. > Of course, there has been some change in food in the past few days, > but nothing drastic. I was just wondering what could have caused it. Too many sweets may be a cause of reflux for some people. Also, certain foods may trigger it and lack of proper stomach acid is another common cause.
