Dear group:

Oops... the first copy of this post was sent without my completing the title.

This is the same post as one I made a minute ago, only with the title completed.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

I took the following paragraph from the government website

http://www.hhs.gov/recovery/contacts/index.html using cut and paste:

The 15 member Council, named today in accordance with a Congressionally-mandate

timeline, will assist the agencies of the Federal government, including HHS and

the Departments of Veterans Affairs and Defense, as well as others, to

coordinate comparative effectiveness and related health services research. The

Recovery Act authorized $300 million for the Agency for Healthcare Research and

Quality, $400 million for the National Institutes of Health, and $400 million

for the Secretary of Health and Human Services to support comparative

effectiveness research.

I see this move by the Obama team as being the first step to help us, and one

that is already passed into law.

Why not take advantage now of the 1.1 Billion already earmarked by Obama that is

being directed towards looking at change? What would be the point of waiting?

" Comparative effectiveness research " is looking at change... there is no other

way to read this, in my opinion. It appears that 400 million of the total 1.1

billion dollar effort reflected in the copy above is earmarked specifically for

this " comparative effectiveness research " .

It is a fact that alternative medicine has had a research budget of nearly zero

for decades. Even if only a small portion of the 400 million being spent is

directed at comparing " alternative medical treatment effectiveness " vs. " drug

intervention treatment effectiveness " for a similar illness this is a big win

for alternative medicine, if not a HUGE one.

Sure, the system has been totally corrupt for some time. And sure, this

corruption goes to the very top of the FDA, with their ridiculous law of " only a

drug can diagnose, prevent, cure, or treat " ANY disease.

The only way that the rampant corruption of the FDA can be stopped is from the

very top... from the President himself. This is because the President controls

the Executive Branch of our government, and the FDA is a agency of this

Executive Branch.

THE FDA IS NEVER GOING TO CHANGE ON ITS OWN, due to the fact that Big Pharma's

influence in this agency is far too deep. The FDA would ignore the wisdom of

alternative medicine forever, if it could. However, the FDA has to answer to

President Obama. It cannot ignore him, or what he has to say.

It is a fact that those doing the budgeting in our federal government know that

health care costs are breaking the back of this country, and that the projected

rise in health care costs is unsustainable. We are simply going broke supporting

Big Pharma's and Big Medicine's many lies... to say nothing of the damage to the

public's health. (I think this is why Obama has directed this 1.1 billion

towards looking at change.)

Conclusion

I think that the time to act is NOW, not later. Anyone whom has recovered using

alternative medical means, and has found these means more effective that

pharmaceutical drugs, has a chance to voice their opinion and to be heard.

There is power in numbers... the more persons that report their alternative

medical recovery stories, or put pro-alt-med comments on the website

http://www.hhs.gov/recovery/contacts/index.html the better. (This site asks for

either comments or recovery stories.)

I think that we should at least give Obama a chance to help us... and " silence

by us " at the current time is not giving him a chance.

It's amazing that you suggest support for trillions of dollars for a

consideration from the President who,

at the heart of it, is going to do just what his Party tells him to do - all

without proffering any facts.

You change your tune from the last post to say we now don't have a choice,-

SOMEONE already agreed

the money was going to be spent, so really we are to react, not act, regardless

of the President's choices.

To suggest that this is 'free money' just to capture the attention of our

brother Obama, then perhaps you've been bought? That's where this socialization

creates irony with your advertisement: 'give your opinion while you can!'

Certainly not beating around the 'Bush' of his predecessor -many things Mr.

Obama has been doing are not unique, and a little embarrassing - especially

trying to use urgency to spend more of someone else's money. Recall how many

people actually read the Stimulus Bill? That was also heavily advertised for

'public opinion'. Let's review the actual itinerary of where the money will go

for this health 'reform'... Could you provide us with this information? This

lack of transparency is exactly why it is not going forward - not because there

aren't eager hands to take it, but because who will actually be paid has been

deemed unwarranted as too much for our 'uneducated' eyes. Indeed you continue to

wantonly ask us for our opinions to amuse us?

To think how many unborn babies were given absolutely no consideration when Mr.

Obama signed to open the floodgates for abortion funds; it seems accurate in

your assumption that he seems to nod more favorably to the highest bidder. You

may well have a good point to note this trait. The amount of love this man has

bought is not historic for what he has exploited; we will literally pay the

consequences - just as any who plays the politician instead of being a leader.

His retirement is set and paid for, as certain as are our taxes.

Groping for title of 'Wizard of Oz' and the word 'change' is becoming numb to a

lot of people, particularly when they have little else in their pockets. " Beware

of little expenses, " wrote lin, " a small leak can sink a great

ship. " Your recruitment for people's opinions -therefore translating into

support for spending the money (that will line others' pocket books)- is

supposed to be more reliable than investing in say, the lottery? Oh, right -

because he cares. Really. Just like casino's for American Indians. Really.

Probably includes health benefits certified by ...

The FDA is just one department of MANY that are defective. ALL government

agencies are to be accountable. Like the body, you can't have one part poisoned

and not have the rest unaffected. Why so impartial? And why, when Mr. Obama

doesn't have a plan without use of the no-limit Federal Reserve that we should

somehow support this? Let's ask the intriguingly quiet pharmaceutical

companies...'the hip bone's connected to the thigh bone'...

It is amazing that one of your energy is investing in a hierarchy of politics,

not health, of money, not freedom, and willing to recruit regardless of

consequences for unreasonable debt simply to make ANOTHER 'historical moment'

for Mr. President. Give the man a parade and get back to work already.

The " silence by us " is complete emotional manipulation. It sounds like you're

trying to make Mr. President -who is a frequent flyer to Hawaii on Air Force 1-

a victim of his own choices. Hmm. I guess mindless spending on someone else's

credit isn't so therapeutic? I certainly know his plans don't call for skipping

a few meals on account of his budget.

Speaking of accountability, here is an interesting history with the FDA and some

remarkably familiar politics we see in the past Presidency as well as Mr.

Obama's curiously similar administration today:

Best of luck to you,
