Greener diet reduces dairy cows' methane burps

Vermont dairy farmers Tim Maikshilo and Dellert, mindful of

shrinking their carbon footprint, have changed their cows' diet to

reduce the amount of gas the animals burp — dairy cows' contribution

to global warming...

livestock is already green; it's we humans that are messed up since we

feed inappropriate food, even though it obviously causes indigestion or worse -

innocent cows don't hasten global warming - what about simply the comfort of

cows who live for our benefit? does man who can see right and wrong have to be

forced to feed livestock a healthy diet? how can he stand by and watch their

discomfort? i've learned to feed my dogs human-grade appropriate food - not

byproducts or beans, corn, wheat, etc. - they poop less, fart less, eat

less/less often, and don't stink and suffer from diarrhea when i feed the right

food,
