Dear Group:

Our Federal Government has established a Federal Coordinating Council For

Comparative Effectiveness Research.

The site for this is http://www.hhs. gov/recovery/ programs/ os/cerbios. html

The next three paragraphs tell a little bit about the intent of " comparative

effectiveness research " . (I used cut and paste from the site mentioned above to

bring the copy reflected below.)

“Comparative effectiveness research can improve care for all Americans and is

an important element of President Obama’s health reform plan,†said HHS

Spokeswoman Backus. “President Obama is committed to openness and

transparency and the Coordinating Council will host open meetings and a

listening session as it begins its important work.â€

Comparative effectiveness research provides information on the relative

strengths and weakness of various medical interventions. Such research will give

clinicians and patients valid information to make decisions that will improve

the performance of the U.S. health care system

The 15 member Council, named today in accordance with a Congressionally- mandate

timeline, will assist the agencies of the Federal government, including HHS and

the Departments of Veterans Affairs and Defense, as well as others, to

coordinate comparative effectiveness and related health services research. The

Recovery Act authorized $300 million for the Agency for Healthcare Research and

Quality, $400 million for the National Institutes of Health, and $400 million

for the Secretary of Health and Human Services to support comparative

effectiveness research.

On this site is a place for persons to tell their recovery stories. Under the

" Contacts " link on the site listed above is a call for recovery stories. (Again,

I used cut and paste to bring the following in from http://www.hhs.

gov/recovery/ contacts/ index.html )

Tell us your recovery story! (Or submit a comment)

We want to hear your recovery story, or you may want to comment on the

information on this site. Here’s what we will do with the information you send

us:

* Stories will be gathered and read. Some stories may be shared on this site.

* Comments will be shared with the HHS Recovery Act Board, along with

recommendations for possible actions, especially about critical issues.

* Be sure to read our Privacy Policy. Please do not give us any additional

personal identification information in your story or comment. Never send us your

social security number.

This is a perfect place for those persons that have used alternative medical

means of ANY SORT to tell their recovery stories to our government.. . in the

hope that perhaps research will be directed towards natural healing methodology

some day. Did fish oil help you? Did vitamins or minerals help you? Did

probiotics help you? Did dealing with candida help you? Did using amino acids

help you? Did food allergy avoidance help you? to recover from ANY illness that

you may have had?

This is the place to tell any alternative medical recovery story that you may

have... in the hope that " our government " and President Obama will listen to

what you have to say.

I repeat the link http://www.hhs. gov/recovery/ contacts/ index.html to do this.

For all good intentions, I would be highly skeptical to contribute to this

government site, merely for the 'cooperation' of the public for forwarding

President Obama's initiative. The frequent actions of the FDA show politics and

money are ever a priority rather than health, as is the attitude of standard

medicine towards that of alternative methods.

Physicians who practice the latter are still under significant scrutiny (up to

revoking licenses) by the Medical Board for unsubstantiated claims rather than

looking and listening to what is happening to patients. In fact, it seems rather

blind that public opinion is at the forefront of government interest when

insurance and pharmaceutical companies take an extraordinary chunk of the

blockage in our current medical system (taking some of the stimulus with them).

Funny the banks get the headlines, with billions in deficit to result, and now

health care is supposed to similarly be 'fixed' by the same hands? I don't think

so. Social Security was a similar government initiative.

It was recently shown on television, former Senator Bob Dole stating about the

'hang-ups' with the proposed health plan: 'take the public out of it'. So with

the above references to a few established government regulated organizations

that are NOT being listened to, is

this invitation a joke? Like so many of those Domestic Violence hot lines that

go to phone numbers that don't work...? Maybe another 'Joe the Plummer' deal?

Let's look at what we already have. And, currently experiencing government

regulated health care by bogus officials, it's nothing like experience that

gives understanding that abuse to

this " change " is already entirely rampant.

Here's some more pretty interesting perspective from Ron 's " Campaign for

Liberty " website:
