Guest guest
I have no experience of Nortriptylene but was prescribed Amitryptilene (sp?) many years ago for incontinence. From what I read in those days it was for childhood bedwetting. I took it as I knew no better. It cut the incontinence down from every 20 minutes to every 30 minutes, gave me added constipation and a dry mouth. Over time I weaned myself off it, taking Aloe Vera and, separately, Noni Juice and never being far from a bathroom for a while. I had no idea it was an antidepressant and since you said I've looked it up on the Internet and it is indeed so. What are these neurologists up to?? I wasn't depressed (but they obviously think you should be if you get diagnosed with MS). , try whatever you can to beat these drugs they farm out - one for this symptom, another for something else ... Guest guest
hi tom, is was given just 10ml for neuro pain but according to www 50mg is an anti-depressant but can go up a lot higher brgds peter Amitryptilene is used in lower doses to help with sleeping. My wife takes 50mg before bedtime. Supposedly, it needs to be prescribed in much higher dosages to be effective as an anti-depressant.
