Guest guest
Hi everyone. I contacted the pharmacy in wa. My insurance is going to cover the prokarin patches. The copay for me is 45$. I have blue cross. ________________________________ To: mscured Sent: Tue, March 29, 2011 2:08:46 PM Subject: Re: Email Response from Dr. Woeller~Prokarin  To each his own. I'm going to try it before I dismiss it. I don't want to be in a wheelchair for the rest of my life if I have an opportunity to try something that might help me walk. $230/month is not expensive, especially if it works. The first month is free. This IS being involved in my treatment! How is this different than trying LDN, which did absolutely nothing for me except make my legs stiff? I would not have known that had I not tried it. > > I hate to be a " Kiljoy " but this sure looks and sounds like many other that I >have seen ... Guest guest
That is great news Joy. It is interesting because I have blue cross also but they have declined anything that is not FDA approved for a specific condition and from a compounding pharmacy. They did not pay for my LDN or compounded hormones. I will check if they would pay for the Prokarin, but based on what I've had so far, it will be a no. I guess each state's plan is different. I have BCBS for my particular state, rather than a national plan, so that is probably what allows them to set their own rules. ________________________________ To: mscured Sent: Tue, March 29, 2011 8:21:41 PM Subject: Re: Re: Email Response from Dr. Woeller~Prokarin Hi everyone. Guest guest
Sent via BlackBerry from T-Mobile Re: Email Response from Dr. Woeller~Prokarin  The patch is actually a ready to apply disc. It was originally a tube of cream that had to be refrigerated and applied to a patch. Refrigeration is not necessary for the newer product. I used Skip's when I took LDN. Skip talked with me when I had questions. Very personable pharmacy. I don't know if they do Prokarin. Ask them the next time you order LDN. > > Anybody try Skip's in Boca Raton. Guest guest
The pharmacy instruction says it needs to be kept cool. Only 10 days out of a fridge. Otherwise it breaks down. I will follow the pharmacys instructions. In the summer they ship it with cooling packs to preserve the life of the med. ________________________________ To: mscured Sent: Sun, April 3, 2011 10:23:25 PM Subject: Re: Email Response from Dr. Woeller~Prokarin  This is from Elaine's site: http://www.edmsllc.com/QA-Prokarin_Disc.htm The Prokarin™ Disc can be stored at room temperature, but for the longest shelf life and stability it is recommended that you store it in the refrigerator. When traveling it is not necessary to keep it in a cooler or refrigerator, but do protect it from extreme heat or cold. Do not leave it in the vehicle on warm or cold temperature days as this can deteriorate the disc and its potency. > > Wow, that's good to know. The GoodShape group is where I got the information. >Prokarin is shipped overseas and it must come specially packed.
Guest guest
I started Day 1 of Prokarin today. Nothing really to report yet, but it's only been 1/2 day on me. The pharmacist said most people feel the benefit, if they do get benefit, in 2-3 weeks. ________________________________ To: mscured Sent: Wed, April 6, 2011 7:00:11 PM Subject: Re: Re: Email Response from Dr. Woeller~Prokarin Raving about the prokarin results. Yesterday I walked the 3.15 mile trail and my speed improved along with my gait. The last .5 mile usually leaves me very fatigued to the point I need assist at times.
