Guest guest
Hi Joyce, Thanks for your email. I understand how you feel. I really want to heal too. My mother past as well of a different illness though but both of my parents had terrible illnesses, so I think my genetic predispositions were not great. And then I made some bad lifestyle choices that probably triggered the MS. I am only on Day 3 of the Prokarin Patch now, so it is still very, very early to form any opinions on how it is working or not. I feel that I have more brain fog today and yesterday but my energy is a little better these past 2 days. This could just be the random fluctuations I have anyway, which I have always had since my onset of MS 5 years ago. But for about a week before I started the Prokarin my brain fog was very mild, which I was happy about. It seems on Day 2 and Day 3 of the Prokarin my brain fog is much worse, including using the wrong words both in speaking and writing and feeling like I'm forgetting words or forgetting how to talk, which is not a usual part of my brain fog symptoms, so I am a bit concerned that maybe the Prokarin is not for me, but I want to stay on it at least 2-3 weeks to see if there is any benefit by then. I doubt people want to hear about my day-to-day on the Prokarin but I will update every so often from now on when I feel there is something more definitive to say about it. You are also welcome to write me directly at alansamston @ yahoo . com (no spaces). As for my decision about CCSVI, a woman who had it done with the same doctor I am supposed to be going to is going to call me soon and tell me all the details of her experience, so that may help me make my decision, although as mentioned previously I am leaning toward canceling CCSVI and going back to my orignal protocol which is more in line with people like Lorraine Day, Kopera, Grace, Terry Wahls and others who believe very natural healing using things like diet, eating tons of veggies and no gluten, juicing, juice or water fasting, excercise, sunlight, fresh air, lots of water, positive thinking, herbs, organ cleansing, etc in order to heal. If I end up going back to that philosophy that most sits well with my beliefs, then I will probably have to go off the Prokarin because the Prokarin experts say it is mandatory to eat a high saturated fat diet and no herbs and only 200iu Vitamin D, and I am still rather uncomfortable with that. But if this Prokarin starts showing that is working on me, then I would be willing to stay on it and eat the high sat fat diet. If this brain fog stays as severe as it is today, I may go off of it--the Prokarin Patch disc that is, but I am really trying to give it more time as maybe my body is adjusting. As you probably saw from Joy's posts, the Prokarin Patch has helped her immensely with walking in a short period of time, that is why I felt is was/is worth a try as there isn't much to it, except the expense, but the first month is free, which is great. ________________________________ To: mscured Sent: Fri, April 8, 2011 12:13:47 PM Subject: Re: Prokarin Day 2 Update Hi Alan, I am like you and considered about CCVSI - I am in a study at DMC Detroit but it is not looking favorably toward my nuerologist seeing it approved. I have had MS for 15 years and watched my mom pass away the same year I was diganoised from complicatiion of the MS. I have changed my diet to be a little healther, and have used
