Guest guest
One can only hope that the sheer numbers of raw milk drinkers will overwhelm the FDA and they'll eventually back off. But so far they show no signs of it. Why they aren't as vigilant in policing agri- business producers, who are responsible for actual food-borne illness outbreaks, as opposed to theoretical, beat's me. Oh, of course, they make political contributions to members of Congress. Guest guest
It's getting overwhelming to protect healthy, natural, fun, explorative, humanistic, loving, sharing, cheap/free, self produced, free (freedom/liberty) with all the (or striving few) control freekazoids taking all liberties from us in the vailed guise of safety, health and protection. Without the choice of risks we choose we'll be only left with death by transportation, natural disaster, object (plates, axes, etc.), bare hands, falling in the bathroom and such... Oh what a sterile world they strive to achieve with all controlled processed food to eat, no need to think, decide, learn or skill to develope. When will the Matrix be real? Sorry for the rant. I'm frustrated with my congressman's supportive letter to me regading the foods bill. The bill limiting our food growing options. I believe within time as ObamaCare gets the green light we will see police activity resembling drug enforcement raids on individuals who consume raw milk and parents who feed it to their children. Being busted for raw milPOSSESSIONON will become a reality. Selling it for any purpose will be prohibited. With NAIS, merely having a cow will require strict monitoring and if the cow isn't registered with NAIS, it will be the same as having being discovered with a marijuanana plot. Well, maybe not marijuana which will most likely be declared legal merely for tax revenue purposes [like taking the big agri business' money Jeanmarie spoke of], while raw milk will remain a crime. Giving raw milk to children will be considered child abuse. If one's child was to become sick with an illness that could be 'linked' to raw milk consumption, the parents would be reported by our 'govt doctors' and then prosecuted. I find it hard to accept that the general public is so uneducated in political matters that they would paint themselves into this corner, but I see it coming. --Bill
Guest guest
I think the numbers of people who not only want to drink raw milk, but who want to either grow their own food or buy directly from trusted small, sustainable eco-farmers and artisanal food producers is growing rapidly. It's all the press about the real food movement that has made the corporations concerned enough to get their congressional lackeys to do their bidding. Things could get ugly but I think there will be one hell of a resistance movement. The whole swine flu vaccine nonsense is similarly stirring up anger. Count me in!
