Hello,

I have started using a progesterone cream made from wild yams for the last

couple months. I don't really have a ton of symptoms except for irratic periods

and I haven't really  noticed a difference yet.  Recently I have read  in

Suzanne Summer's book  and on line where some people don't consider wild yam

cream to be real progesterone.  I'm confused about this and wonder if any women

here use over the counter progesterone or have an opinion about it and if there

is a better version or if they all work about the same?

Thanks,

Judy

I use Ray Peat's progesterone, Progest-E.

The body only absorbs 10% of the over the counter progesterones but it absorbs

100% of Progest-E, hopefully, that is true.

Hi Joan,

Thank you for your reply. I'll have to look into this, it looks interesting.

Do you know how the progesterone is made in this product? I want to make sure

it is bio-identical and not take any synthetic hormones. Now I've found another

cream that the progesterone is made from soya. That doesn't sound very good

either since I tend to stay away from soy. I wonder if soy processed in this

way is better then regular soy?

Thanks,

Judy
