Can I soak rolled oats w/some fresh grd. wheat in just distilled water?

Hello, I ma new here and have a question. I did a search but couldnt find an

answer to this:

I know that rolled oats are steam processed and even raw dont contain much

phytase anyhow. So, i tried soaking them in water with kefir added - but I dont

like the fermented taste :)

Do you have to add acid? I figure, when sprouting you only use water also and it

activates the phytase.
