I take about 8 drops and once opened it lasts indefinately.

How much should one take of the iodine? And how long will it " last " in the

Lugol's is wonderful stuff to have around - I'd get the bigger one if you save

money on it. I've blown through two of the 2 oz bottles I got already. You can

even put drops in your pets drinking water to prevent parasites.

Do you have a recommended source of Lugol's? I haven't tried it.

What do you guys prefer?  Lugol's solution or Iodoral?

I get it from www.jcrow.com. I've heard others say his is pretty expensive and

now that the government is regulating it (it is an ingredient for

methamphetamine) you can only buy very small amounts in the higher

concentration, but you can buy it diluted to a lower concentration. I like the

higher concentration for uses like painting the kids teeth to prevent cavities

and also painting on wounds. I actually prefer some of the other (not so

flavored) iodine supplements for supplement use - mostly I get sea-adine, but

I'm not happy about them adding sodium benzoate.

I also use jcrows 5 percent lugols,4 a few yrs now internaly.,its a

great company to deal with as well,fast delivery,friendly small mom and

pop type buisness... Deb
