Jeannie,

Sorry to hear that. Look at the bright side...if you have a hernia and need

a tummy tuck later, it'll most likely be covered by insurance! :)

Take care, and drink those liquids.

Some Dr's will do both the hernia and Tummy Tuck at the same time and sorta

let the TT slip by insurance.

DEAR JEANNIE

WOULD YOU MIND GIVING ME AN IDEA OF SOME OF THE THINGS YOU ATE SO THAT I

WON'T DO THE SAME WHEN I AM OPERATED ON. THIS IS MY BIGGEST FEAR. RAYNA

RUBIERAY@... IF YOU WANT TO SEND IT TO ME PRIVATE. THANK YOU SO MUCH

FOR YOUR HONESTY.

Jeanie,

It sounds like the skin on the chicken, the casings on the hot dogs, the

grease on the FF, the bread is a tough one, some can handle it (like me at

LOW variables), others can't. Soda is definitely the carbonation, and Motrin

is because of the ibruprophen, that can hurt anyone, with or without bypass

surgery. I was told by my surgeon to use Advil, Motrin, etc., within VERY

LIMITED moderation, but I try and stick w/Tylenol instead if needed.

Take it easy, and drink water, crystal lite, NATURAL casing turkey dogs if

you decide to try again later, and take the skin off the chicken.

I know you had a terrible experience, but over time, these may reduce

dramatically, maybe not, unfortunately, one can only tell after trying them

again.

I for one, had a very bad dumping experience w/a protein bar...I forgot some

have sugar, but now I found the Atkins are perfect for ME, as they have 0

sugar.

Bread...I can't do a bulkie type of roll, a bite yes, but not a lot. I can

however eat wheat bread, rye, and a bite of various kinds.

I also can eat hotdogs that are cooked on a open flame, but not grilled in

greasy junk.

I can also tolerate skin on chicken, but gross' me out, so I take it off,

and I completely avoid FF as I was addicted prior to surgery, but will take

1-2 of someone's if they're nearby, otherwise, I'm in deep doo-doo!

Good luck sweetie!

Dawn

Re: hospital

i dont think the hernia came from the gatric bypass because ive had 4 before

so i guess im prone to them and as far as the blockages i ate the wrong

things so it was my fault

Hi:

Can you explain more about the blockage, please. did they have to operate on

it or did it break up by itself. What was it? that must be scary. thanks.
