Guest guest
I would strongly suggest that she see a chiropractor ASAP-- it's probably a simple alignment issue. Pregnancy can do some pretty hardcore damage to spinal health if you're not being treated through your pregnancy. Lots of moving and shifting, not to mention hormonal changes which make joints a little looser. Honestly, I don't understand how women survive pregnancy without a chiro. I used to go to mine twice a week, begging him to adjust me again because it helped so much. lol Needless to say, vaginal childbirth can tend to cause misalignment too. If she's co-sleeping, it could also be stress from that (I know that's part of my recent back issues! If she had an epidural, it's possible there may have been a bit of nerve damage, but I was under the impression that was usually confined to the lower body since that's where the epi was aimed. Hard to say. I suppose it's possible it could be her heart, but the numbness in the hand (having lasted for so long) makes me think it's an issue that would probably be pretty effectively resolved by chiropractic care. My brother, whom I had posted about in the previous mail - his wife is more food & health conscious, lately, but here she has been having her left hand become more numb the last 2 months. she is having some pain in the upper chest area and directly behind in the back, and also in the left hand. They did go to the doctor, and the doctor feels it is nerves, and is recommending ibuprofens, and if the pains do not go away, they want her on prescription painkillers. I am thinking it could be nerves, heart etc. But they can't afford more costly tests etc. she, unlike my brother, is ready for help. What can she take in diet to help her out? She is willing to adapt a protocol for overall health and wellness for her newborn baby's sake. she is 36. she has had several abortions- not sure if anything is a side-affect- hard to say, but just thought i will mention it here, if at all, it can any co-relation. Thanks -Dan. _________________________________________________________________ With Windows Live, you can organize, edit, and share your photos. http://www.windowslive.com/Desktop/PhotoGallery
Guest guest
Why not direct her to the wonderful articles on www.westonaprice.org on prenatal diet? It could make the difference between a happy baby and a colicky one, that is HUGE at 36! At that age you just can't stay up all night with a crying baby the way a 20 something could. > > My brother, whom I had posted about in the previous mail - his wife is more food & health conscious, lately, but here she has been having her left hand become more numb the last 2 months. she is having some pain in the upper chest area and directly behind in the back, and also in the left hand. Guest guest
Thank you. She got an appointment finally with the chiropractor. Will let you know the improvements (hopefully). She did have epidural and has lot of lower back pain. Any suggestion for that? Guest guest
if chiropractor's service makes the pain keener, how do you interpret it? Is there a curve of pain experience before it gets better? She has been seeing a chiropractor for many weeks now, and it only hurts more when she sees the chiropractor. Guest guest
Oh heck no- there's no curve of pain. She needs to change chiros! From: repent_kog_is_near@... Guest guest
I have to agree, there are good ones and there are definitely bad ones. I've NEVER had keener pain when I left the chiropractor. A good one should also not leave you feeling like you've been ripped in half or turned into a pretzel or that you feel like you were rushed through. You may feel tired and need to nap a little but definitely no increase in pain. I actually go to see my chiropractor for a full adjustment when I'm getting close to my birthing time. It makes the whole labor so much nicer and then I also go to him about a week after for another full adjustment then I feel a lot more comfortable during recovery.
