Guest guest
DMSO!!!!! It's wonderful for inflammation, especially in the joints/back. It's a type of NSAID, but doesn't harm the stomach like ibuprophin - actually it's been shown in some studies to reverse colitis. If their diets are terrible, one thing to try is before you get them to give up junk they love, try to get them to eat more of the healthy things they might like - switch to raw milk, switch to butter/lard instead of liquid oils, etc. I read one dietician who said it's always easier for people to change their diets by first adding in the healthier foods then trying to lower the amounts of unhealthy ones. It made sense to me! > > My loved ones always get into trouble, and resist a good diet! grr.. > > here is a slip in the summer, and the lower back in severe pain for my brother. his doc convinced him that a Cortisone Shot is the way to go, and that is costs $2,000; but he gave him lot of discounts because of economic reasons(jobless) for $400. He took it and is pain free for 2 days now. > > If this happens to any of my other brothers or any other friends who are overweight, what may be a good alternative, in terms of food, for severe back pain? > > Is Cortisone for inflammation? If so, I guess ginger and turmeric can also help. Anything else? > > Thanks > -Dan >
