Newbie Intro and Questions!

Hi All...

My name is and I live in North Alabama. I am so new to soapmaking

that I haven't even made a bar yet!! I love all kinds of crafts, some of

which are rubber stamping, scrapbooking, & cross stitch. I thought

soapmaking looked fun, so I'm ready to give it a try! I have a few

questions, and I would appreciate any help you all can give me. I'm going to

start with M & P, and move up from there.

Are there any " can't live without " supplies I will need for M & P?

What is the best on-line supplier that carries EVERYTHING that I will need?

Will a candy thermometer work for testing temperatures?

How hard is it to cut the soap after you un-mold it? What is best to cut it

with?

What's the best thing to use for a mold if you want to make rectangular or

square bars?

Can I make balls with M & P?

How hard is it to make the lye soaps (thats CP, right?)?
