Guest guest
That sounds like stress! Personally I hadn't heard anything about wireless Internet causing physical reactions, but I just did a quick search and came up with some articles you could look at. This sounds like " electromagnetic hypersensitivity (EHS) " : http://www.emfnews.org/Wireless-Internet-electro-hypersensitivity.html " If I walk into a room or building that has Wi-Fi, my most immediate sign is that the front of my right thigh goes numb, " said Arthur Firstenberg, 57, of Santa Fe, N.M. " If I don't leave, I'll get short of breath, chest pains and the numbness will spread. " Firstenberg is one of a small group of people who believe they have Electromagnetic Hypersensitivity (EHS), a condition in which they are highly sensitive to electromagnetic fields and experience pain or other symptoms when they encounter them. People with electromagnetic hypersensitivity claim to experience a variety of non-specific symptoms, including headache, fatigue, nausea, burning and itchy skin, and muscle aches. These symptoms are subjective and vary between individuals, which makes the condition difficult to study. . . .But experts are divided about the validity of such claims. . . . * * * The World Health Organization as an article about EHS: http://www.who.int/mediacentre/factsheets/fs296/en/index.html And here's the wikipedia article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electromagnetic_hypersensitivity Good luck, Jeanmarie On Aug 14, 2009, at 4:24 PM, wrote: > We just switched to wireless internet a couple weeks ago, and I > started noticing almost immediately that whenever I sit down at the > computer I get a stomach ache and/or heartburn. Guest guest
I've been listening to some CDs from Price-Pottinger Foundation and the speaker talks about how ultra-sensitive his wife is to EMF. She reacts to a wireless tower in a nursery a few blocks away. There are protective devices that you can get to protect yourself. It is available as jewelry or a credit card size card that you carry in your pocket. I'm sure Mercola has one J Kathy From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of Sent: Friday, August 14, 2009 6:24 PM Subject: Wireless internet side-effects? We just switched to wireless internet a couple weeks ago, and I started noticing almost immediately that whenever I sit down at the computer I get a stomach ache and/or heartburn. What is going on? Is there anything I can do, other than plugging the cords back in? Thanks,
Guest guest
Have your husband trick you. Sit down at the computer two times, doing something non-internet related, and hide the wireless router. One of those times have your husband randomly unplug the wireless router from the wall. See if you can differentiate between the router being off or on, and make sure you don't know whether it is off or on. This would tell you if you are truly reacting to the wireless internet or something else. I personally don't like the idea of wireless internet, but could never say for certain if it affects me. I avoid it when possible in my home though, and use cables to hook my computer to the internet, which give a faster more stable connection anyway. I know I get strange sensations in my hands from using cell phones, but those have actually been shown to have negative effects on your health, whereas wireless internet has not been studied much that I know of. - > > We just switched to wireless internet a couple weeks ago, and I started noticing almost immediately that whenever I sit down at the computer I get a stomach ache and/or heartburn.
