Guest guest
Hello there =)) I hope your asthma will start behaving itself better!! All 4 of you dealing with asthma + Meagan's CF must get very overwhelming at times - if not all of the time!! I also hope Meagan's oral yeast sores will resolve soon. I develope thrush with certain antibiotics too. I remember seeing Diflucan and Nystatin mentioned on the list before - but I also use Mysolex Troches for thrush and they are usually pretty effective for me. I don't usually respond at all to Nystatin and the taste is pretty gross, and I can't always take Diflucan because it has some drug interactions. I don't know what the standard dosage is, but I've always been prescribed 1 tablet - 5 times daily. The only thing I don't like about that med is that you suck on them until they dissolve, but the taste is definately more tolerable than Nystatin and it really doesn't take long for the tablet to dissolve. It might be a good thing that it sits in the mouth for a while, probably get a better topical effect to the sores. Good luck with the asthma, you guys really deserve a break - and soon! Wishing you a happy and healthy week! Love~ (21yo fwcf)
