From what I read it is extemely unusual to be too high in Vitamin D and the

fears of that are largely unfounded, though it can happen it is rare. But yeah,

maybe at 30-40iu per day Vitamin D toxicity could happen.

Subject: Product Recall - Calcium & Magnesium Softgels, by Now Foods

I just got a product recall on Calcium-Magnesium capsules with vitamin D. If

anyone else is taking it, they have discovered the D was far higher than quoted

(30-40,000iu per 3 compared to the advertised 600iu per 3).

Isn't that what we want though? Reducing the dosis to 1 instead of 3, seems to

make sense instead of going to the hassle of returning them.

They give symptoms of too much vitamin D which might be of interest to some of

you:

Symptoms of high vitamin D dietary intake include: weakness, fatigue,

sleepiness, headache,

loss of appetite, dry mouth, metallic taste, nausea, vomiting, abdominal cramps,

constipation,

diarrhea, dizziness, ringing in the ears, trouble walking, skin eruptions,

muscle pain, bone pain,

and irritability. Advanced symptoms may include runny nose, itching, increased

frequency of

urination, nighttime awakening to urinate,

This is the same advice given by Elaine DeLack when taking Prokarin. The cal/mag

supplement is sent with the Prokarin order. I have concerns with the supplement

because the ratio of calcium to magnesium is 5/1 and 6 caps (one serving) are

required at breakfast. It is too constipting. I'm going to call about it

monday.
