Guest guest
Suze, I believe you're on the right track. We have to pay attention to where the propaganda is coming from, where the money is flowing to and from, and seek out unbiased, honest sources of information as much as we possibly can. I also reject the left-right paradigm (used to identify as a libertarian and still have a lot of sympathy that way, but got turned off by their (some) worship of business and corporations) and " isms " as I've not found any group with a monopoly on the truth. cheers, Jeanmarie On Aug 22, 2009, at 10:43 AM, Suze Fisher wrote: > > I do think that some of the opinions and arguments expressed here > > against any government involvement in healthcare sound like they are > > coming right out of Fox News, or Rush Limbaugh, etc - it's amusing > to > > me to watch people who are so agitated by food propaganda, so > ready to > > accept propaganda by the extreme right on issues like this. > > I used to be myopically focused on food freedom issues and didn't > realize > that the corporate-controlled media (both left- and right-leaning as > well as > centrist) is loaded with false or misleading propaganda on a wide > variety of > issues, not just food and health. > > I'm a former lefty who has exited the false left-right paradigm, so > what > amuses (and saddens) me is the quibbles between leftwing and > rightwing folks > who are unaware that the oligarchs who control our politicians are > laughing > all the way to the bank while leaving us little people here to > squabble over > yet another government plan which the oligarchs will ultimately be the > beneficiaries of while they hang us upside down to shake out the > last few > coins left in our pocket. > > The affordability of disease-care insurance would be a nearly moot > issue of > those very same oligarchs were not running the Fed and had not used > their > substantial power to manipulate the US dollar to the point that it's > now > only worth about 95% of it's value prior to the inception of the > (privately > owned) Fed. OK, let me get this straight...you say that TRUE leftists are totally against corporate influence on society, but the leftist media you referenced earlier is not reporting on the corporate theft of $23.7 TRILLION dollars from us citizens?
