Guest guest
Joanne, Thanks for all you have done, but you have to put yourself first. One thing we know is our health is something we have to coddle and cherish. I am sorry to hear that your health is so bad. You have been an outstanding owner, very fair and knowledgeable. I cannot volunteer as I am on the brink of a transplant (but you know that) I recommend Jerry he would be great. Guest guest
It's usually around 30 days. However, some members are left in the moderated que longer, depending on the posts they send and whether or not I think they're actually working for a drug company, longevity company, or some other concern that wants to exploit the group for its own commercial gain. Guest guest
I have primary failure, hypergonadatrophic hypogonadism, age 48, been treated for 5 years off and on. I also have osteoporosis due to not getting TRT a lot sooner. So far no method has worked well but the one I could tolerate the best (testoderm TTS) was taken off the market right when testim launched. Another friggin coincidence I'm sure. So I went on a-gel but now find out 7 months later my total T is riding at 225. In other words I get no absorbtion. No wonder I have felt awful all summer. Testim seemed like a godsend and I had to jump some hoops to get it, and then it turns but I can't stand the smell. Good luck to anybody else who can, I envy them. I envy the androderm and androgel users too. I would if I could. So... Injections give me violent moodswings, I get no absorption from a-gel, cannot tolerate the smell of testim, a-derm causes huge weeping sores that take months to heal, and TTS has been taken off the market. What other options do I have? Far as I know, only options left I haven't tried are implanted pellets (shudder), andriol (unclear if it is available here), and one of the compounded transdermal preparations whipped up by a pharmacy. I'm researching the latter now. If anyone else has an idea PLEASE PLEASE share it with me! So, which drug company you figger I work for? Guest guest
Actually, we are more than a group here. We are more of a family. We have never had one topic that we have discussed moderated (that I know of) and they have gotten way more heated than this bickering that has been going on. Ira has enough to deal with than to deal with the bickering that goes on here and would gladly pass the reins if he could. So let's not be putting pressure on him. All the bickering can stop without making him responsible. Let's not be name calling and referring to anyone as teenagers. That's rude and un-called for. This is a group that will help you and you may get the most diverse information here than in any other group. Everyone who is an active member here actually cares for the health of others and that is why they have been here for such a long time. If you have a question, ask it, if you don't like the way a group of emails is going then it is your right to say so, then you can hit delete thereon after. Moderate your inbox like I do when there is stuff you don't like. CW -- Moderator Please, as a responsible Moderator, please remove the bickering and such posts......i don't see how they even get approved, first thing, and to have them continue, is showing irresponsiblility. I mean, what is the average age of the members.......? I am here to research and gather information, and to watch nonsense, is a true waste of my time, others time, etc...... get this stuff removed, and don't approve garbage as such...... Guest guest
All I can say is that she must not belong to any thyroid groups. Most of the ones I have belong to always gets into heated discussions when it comes to armour and synthetics meds. We do it and go on with our lives. Guest guest
Yes, I am glad you brought that up Crystal because I thought that he had told us that at one time but I didn't want to say it if it wasn't true. Thanks. Sometimes I wish he would correspond with us, if he needs to but he probably has people he relies on for support maybe. Guest guest
I think that it is easy to rely on the moderator in these types of situations and despite what other people think about our ages we are old enough to stop arguing without being moderated. I really hope that Ira has found people to listen to him, help him, pray for him, and love him. I know that if I were even remotely close to him I would have been cooking for him already! Without knowing him, he seems like such a deep soul. Anyway, we shouldn't bother him with such small deals when he has dealt with such big deals himself. Guest guest
Shera, the owner of this list apparently has abandoned it, leaving Ira totally alone in charge of its care. Ira has tried without success to get help [i think is more moderators] from the owner with no results. I personally have tried to contact the owner and do not get a response. I suggest it is TOO MUCH to ask Ira to spend the time required to moderate us as though we were a kindergarten class. Better we do it ourselves. Guest guest
What is it with these 'people' who have to censor everyone ELSE because they don't happen to like x y or z?? I'll be damned if I will accept forced infantilism to protect the few incapable adults, who see themselves as victims, because their lives aren't swaddled in cotton wool from dawn to dusk.
