Guest guest
I want to start treating my suspected candida in January. It seems that everyone agrees to avoid all sugars. After that, though, every author seems to have a different opinion about allowing gluten-free grains, fruit, nuts, beans, or fermented foods like vinegar and soy sauce. (I don't eat gluten or casein.) In September, we ate a lot more brown rice than normal (to save money on the food budget) and it made me very gassy. Does this mean I should eliminate or just limit rice during the diet? How about quinoa, which doesn't seem to make me gassy when I eat large amounts? I could avoid fruit for a few weeks but I can't see giving it up for months. The same with beans. I don't want to give up nuts. I'm nursing and think I need the calories. I like coconut but too much coconut milk makes me a little nauseous. Cooking with coconut oil doesn't bother me. I want to feel better but I don't want to eliminate foods any longer than necessary. Any advice?
