Guest guest
Sounds like my husband. Good luck and I¹ll look forward to the tips. Mine finally takes the fermented CLO in capsules but complains about the burps too. I have found that I can mix one or two chicken livers into our taco meat when I make home made taco¹s and he can barely detect it. It¹s not much but it¹s better than nothing. Guest guest
Do you get the burping problems with the liquid or gel fermented clo? ________________________________ From: Katrina Cabral <katwoman1934@...> Sent: Fri, December 11, 2009 10:27:45 PM Subject: Re: Vit A supplements for hubby Sounds like my husband. Guest guest
What causes people to burp from fclo or fish oil in general? Is it digestive issues? Guest guest
here is info on CLO http://www.westonaprice.org/basicnutrition/cod-liver-oil-menu.html these are in capsule form so you shouldn't have to hide the taste http://www.drrons.com/thyroid-adrenal-liver-pancreas-glandulars.htm --- In , Ernst <rachelernst.com@...> wrote: > > My husband isn't too into caring about his health, not at the level of > Nourishing Traditions folk. Carrots are an excellent source of vitamin A. Sweet potatoes, spinach, eggs, cheese, milk and butter also contain vitamin A. Generally speaking, yellow/orange fruits and veggies as well as dark leafy greens are generally considered to be good sources. If you do some research, you can find plenty of foods besides liver that contain vitamin A. Here are just two articles with more information. They both list a number of different foods that are good sources of vitamin A: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vitamin_A http://www.feinberg.northwestern.edu/nutrition/factsheets/vitamin-a.html Elan
Guest guest
Elan, Fruits and veggies contain beta carotene, the precursor to Vitamin A. Only the animal foods (eggs, cheese, milk) contain actual Vitamin A. Beta carotene foods need to be consumed with plenty of fat and the luck of being a good converter. -Lana " The art of simplicity is a puzzle of complexity. Guest guest
I googled it. The Nordic Naturals website says this: Are there any side effects? Generally, no. Consumers typically report having more energy and a greater mental clarity while taking EFAs. If you experience repeat (burping), your supplements are either rancid or your body may not be manufacturing the fat digestive enzyme, lipase, used to metabolize the oil. If you haven't ingested fish oils for a long period of time it should take about a week for your body to develop this enzyme. Joan - > What causes people to burp from fclo or fish oil in general? Guest guest
There are many ways to sneak liver and other organ meats into foods, you just have to be creative. I would suggest all the vitamin A/D articles on the WAPF web site as good starting point. As for burping, one good strategy is to take the CLO just before bed. I've also heard that freezing the capsules reduces burping problem. Guest guest
, My husband had the same problem with the CLO " burp " . He is now taking Green Pasture's Blue Ice Fermented Cod Liver Oil Non-Gelatin Capsules at night and there hasn't been any problem. As for liver, make sausage while he's out of the house. If you have or can buy a grinder or grinder attachment you can grind up the liver and add it along with spices to make sausage. I've put it in Italian Sausage as well as plain old b'fast sausage with great success. The key is he not see you doing it. If he sees it, he will taste it! Good luck!
