The healthcare reform bill currently in front of Congress will force you to purchase health insurance that covers mainly conventional treatments for diseases after they have developed. The threat of jail time (for tax evasion) for those of us who fail to purchase this one-size-fits-all health insurance plan only adds insult to injury. The healthcare bill also chips away at your freedom to pursue the healthcare options that work best for you and your families by: * limiting flexible spending accounts (FSA); * increasing the non-qualified health savings account (HSA) distribution penalty; * imposing a medicine cabinet tax; and * threatening the survival of HSA's by implementing a mandate that renders them unworkable. The prohibition on cost-sharing for preventive services would prevent out-of-pocket payment for medical services that are supposedly " available " under qualifying health insurance. This means that the government could prevent you from obtaining the therapies of your choice or seeing the doctor of your choice, even if you elect to pay cash. Let your Senator know that you do not support healthcare reform!
