Guest guest
I would take the Blue Ice fermented clo and then if you need more D, take that as a supplement. as to the opened bottle, I would use it. --- In , " laughingpeace " <laughingpeace@...> wrote: > > Hi, > > I was wondering if anyone could tell me why Blue Ice is considered a high vitamin clo? Guest guest
Thank you for your reply Carolyn. Is that what you and most of the people on this list do? Supplement extra D? I'm trying to get this right... and it's just confusing. I wish people here who are experts at studying this nutrition business would list off what supplements you take and how much. Thanks, Judy > > I would take the Blue Ice fermented clo and then if you need more D, take that as a supplement. as to the opened bottle, I would use it. > > --- In , " laughingpeace " <laughingpeace@> wrote: > > > > Hi, > > > > I was wondering if anyone could tell me why Blue Ice is considered a high vitamin clo? Guest guest
I don't take supplements on a regular basis but I do eat liver almost every day. > > > > I would take the Blue Ice fermented clo and then if you need more D, take that as a supplement. as to the opened bottle, I would use it. > > > > --- In , " laughingpeace " <laughingpeace@> wrote: > > > > > > Hi, > > > > > > I was wondering if anyone could tell me why Blue Ice is considered a high vitamin clo? Guest guest
Gosh, Carolyn, I don't think we are supposed to eat liver everyday. The Vitamin D council says don't any liver and others say eat is once a week. Guest guest
I moved to Arizona (from NJ) to get my Vitamin D. As for supplements, I don't take anything consistently - rather, I use them more like medicinals. I will take B2 if I've got cracks in my lips or a sore throat (and I recently discovered it fixes a particular cramp), B6 if my eyes are dry/sore/red or if I'm having trouble sleeping/dreaming (usually accompanied by B3 and tryptophan and sometimes magnesium for sleep issues), B3 (as niacinamide) if I have a headache, B1, B3 or magnesium (or all 3) if I get cramps, A if my eyes become sensitive to light, calcium when my spleen wiggles or my lips tingle, for acidity shown by fast yet shallow breathing sometimes takes several attempts but the answer is usually biotin, arginine, manganese or borage oil (for the GLA), biotin also for yeasty symptoms including itching... and the list goes on. I can't remember everything off the top of my head (and sometimes even when I'm having the symptom it takes me a few days to remember what I normally take for it) - it doesn't help (with my memory) that these things don't come around often either! -Lana " The art of simplicity is a puzzle of complexity. Guest guest
Thanks so much for this information Lana! Wish I could move somewhere to get more Vitamin D. I decided to buy some extra D3 capsules and take that along with the CLO. Your list is very informative. I'm having a terrible time right now with sleeping. I wake up after two hours of sleep and don't really sleep at all after that. B6 helps with sleep issues? Just this week I've started taking melatonin but I'm still waking up, and when I took it after waking up I still didn't sleep. Last night was my first time trying Gaba. (I think it's called that) I woke up again after two hours took another gaba and didn't sleep at all. Tonight I'm going to double the dose and hope it works. I feel very anxious and generally off feeling when I take magnesium, so that doesn't work either. B6.... maybe something else to try! I was taking a general B vitamin every morning but stopped when the sleep issues started happening because I thought B gave you more energy and I thought it might be interfering with my sleep. Thanks! Guest guest
B vitamins power many reactions in the body. From making energy, to distributing it, to helping you fall asleep. B2 and B3 are especially vital for chemical reactions in the body as they become FAD and NADH, cofactors you'll find in most of the body's processes. B6+Magnesium is particularly good for sleep, provided you have enough Tryptophan (or 5HTP) to convert into melatonin. The Magnesium is especially relaxing when you get it in the form of an epsom salt bath right before bed. Also, do your best to keep your room dark as any amount of light will make you need more melatonin (and thus more precursors) to stay asleep. I turn my alarm clock face down and block out my humidifier LCD. Black electrical tape works really well for LCD/LEDs you don't need at all. -Lana " The art of simplicity is a puzzle of complexity. Guest guest
All depends how much you eat I suppose. Most of the " warnings " about liver are just wrong. They are based on just a few, poorly designed studies that got lots of press. I suggest reading all the vitamin A articles on the WAPF site to understand this rather complex issue. (There's only 3 or 4) Liver is nature's multi-vitamin so eating a little (1-2oz) everyday is fine. I take a pound of liver which usually comes out to 4-5 slices and cut the slices in half. Then divide all the halves into containers of 2-3 halves each. In this way I always have a little on hand. Cheers, > > Gosh, Carolyn, I don't think we are supposed to eat liver everyday. Guest guest
Thanks, I will. Joan > > > > Gosh, Carolyn, I don't think we are supposed to eat liver everyday.
