You are probably deficient in both K and Mg, and I guess that got me going. For several kinds of magnesium try LEF's http://store./iherb/mag500mg.html and for straight-up MgCl try a chemical supply house. Buy it by the Kilo. Guest guest
I personally can't tell you where the best priced stuff is. I do like the magnesium chloride crystals from www.life-enthusiast.com because they are informative about it. You want 4g of magnesium per a pound of bodyweight. It's easier to get the crystals as you just bathe in them twice a week to store all the magnesium you need. ________________________________ From: laughingpeace <laughingpeace@...> Sent: Tue, November 3, 2009 10:02:44 AM Subject: magnesium chloride Good afternoon, I am going to order some Magnesium chloride and I was wondering if anyone had a good place they like to order it online? I've never ordered or used it before and I'm unsure where to get it. Thanks in advance!! Judy
Guest guest
Thanks . I had looked at this website earlier and I might order from there. But I had read somewhere that you want to get salts so you can make your own magnesium oil and use that to spray on yourself. I don't usually take baths so I was hoping for this spray on method. I didn't see magnesium salts or Nigiri on the website though. Thanks, Judy > > I personally can't tell you where the best priced stuff is. Guest guest
They do sell magnesium oil which is the purest of it's form that you can get. It has 600mg of magnesium chloride per a tspn. You can buy it in bulk. ________________________________ From: laughingpeace <laughingpeace@...> Sent: Tue, November 3, 2009 12:44:54 PM Subject: Re: magnesium chloride Thanks . Guest guest
Oh yes, I see the magnesium oil list now. I might need to go with that. It's still not what I was thinking, where you mix your own oil (they said a little goes a long long way) with the salt and water, but this might work. I sure can't find where ever I had read about making your own. Thanks, Judy > > They do sell magnesium oil which is the purest of it's form that you can get. Guest guest
I bought some Ancient Minerals Magnesium spay which was expensive and then I saw someone post a question about buying it in bulk and they cited a source for ice control for roads. You can get a truckload of magnesium chloride for the price that I paid. And from what I understand you can buy it at your hardware store like Ace. See the link below for an example. http://www.roadwise-inc.com/ice-control.php However, someone raised the question that it might not be as pure as the stuff in bottle. Maybe someone here can comment on the possibility. My experience with Mag oil - It itches A LOT when applied to the skin and it does not feel like oil. It has an uncomfortable texture and is hard to describe. I do like how it works though. I get rough skin on my heels and when it gets annoying  I take a bath, spray some oil on my legs after the bath and the next day and weeks after my heels are smooth. Not sure how it works but it does. It even seems to get rid of the cracks in my heels Good luck. Guest guest
http://www.naturalimport.com/shop_for_nigari was the last place I bought nigari crystals from. Fill a pint jar to about 3/4 and cover in water until dissolved. Fish out the ones that don't dissolve. Mix 1tsp. with a quart of ice water and lemon for quick pick-me-up. Use it in a spray bottle with lavender oil to relieve tension. It does feel gross. Like a sweaty, sticky suede film on your body. The benefits far outweigh any of that. -vanessa .... good stuff

I sure can't find where ever I had read about making your own. Judy, Mag " oil " does not contain oil; it's a brine of mag chloride and water. Swansons now carries its own brand of magnesium spray (the 8 oz bottle is at http://www.swansonvitamins.com/SWU481/ItemDetail?n=0, also available in refill sizes). It's the most cost-effective premade spray I've seen, and it works well. My experience dry magnesium chloride for bathing is that the ice melt pellets don't feel quite as effective in the bath as the flakes (nigiri), even though they both were 100% magnesium chloride. Maybe the pellets are compressed into that shape and changed somehow? The pellets also seem more shelf stable, whereas the nigiri flakes tend to absorb the smallest amount of moisture from the air and clump together. In fact, if you left a container of nigiri flakes uncovered, I imagine you'd eventually end up with a container of mag " oil " ! Best, Pam
Guest guest
Thank you all so much for your help and thoughts! I'm going to order the nigari flakes and see how it goes. Thanks again!
