Guest guest
I have read a number of people who claimed to heal MS with minocyline. There used to be a blog about it with a number of people with MS getting good results--maybe about 5 people. But the blog was discontinued. Hi, I have been running across the forums to try to sort out my MS vs. LYME dilemma. I was suggested to look into minocycline.
Guest guest
I am a MS (2004) to Lymie (2008) patient. My Lyme Disease diagnosis was based on history, a physical exam, and finally a herxheimer reaction to 200mg doxycycline twice per day was the confirmation of my Lyme Disease diagnosis. A few months after I started doxycycline I was walking about normally / no canes. My LLMD quintupled my antibiotics (types and quantities) I lost 30 or 40 lbs and started using two canes to move about :-( I was on doxycycline for about 2.5 years straight. Since then have had two more LLMDs. Most recently (April 2011) started taking a Lyme Tea described in " Healing Lyme " by Buhner and available through Amazon. So far, no major strength improvements, but have been holding steady and will increase my dose from 1oz daily to 2 oz daily. Have learned that it is not uncommon for Lymies to have a drastic improvement, then suddenly the disease comes back double strength. > > I have read a number of people who claimed to heal MS with minocyline. Guest guest
thank you for the replies. I am going to see what natural remedies do, and I will see what the tests show after few months. My immune system is surely wicked. But I love it anyway. OMG you were on antibiotics for 2,5 years? that would have killed me... I am not that bad off, just not full of energy ever anymore. Leads me towards calmness and spirituality anyway... May we all heal. > > > > I have read a number of people who claimed to heal MS with minocyline. Guest guest
The doxycclne did cause some photo-sensitivity, aka sun burned hands. That is why I switched to minocycline. Have been seeing a big guns LLMD sort of in the center of the country who has written a near book via many multi page hand outs. Everything he does is based on the research he has done. with him I started out on tetracyceline for 30 days, then was shifting to cumiden (?) clarithoromycin (?). That abx made my right leg so stiff that I was having great difficulty moving through my house :-( The next step in his protocol is quionine. I just switched to the Lyme Tea. This morning I transitioned from one ounce of Lyme Tea per day and switching to one ounce twice per day. Have been noticing that as I am phasing away from my antibiotics, my right hand is working better (not locked into a ball). I am reducing my baclofen from 20mg 3X per day to one or two 20mg tablets per day. So far, the absolute worst thing has been Rebif :-((( > > > > > > I have read a number of people who claimed to heal MS with minocyline.
