Guest guest
My friend's Dad has come down with a CRP of 6. The doctor has not done anything about it, is happy that his cholestrol is 'normal'. I am encouraging him to do something about his high CRP. I recommended ginger and turmeric everyday as they are anti-inflammatory. Can you give me other tips/ideas that I can pass on to him? Thanks Dan
Guest guest
I would suggest a two prong approach. First look at the diet and see what is inflammatory--like too much omega 6 or sensitivity to casein or gluten. Vitamin C is also a good anti-inflammatory: http://tinyurl.com/y8l7q2v (Serum Vitamin C Concentration Is Low in Peripheral Arterial Disease and Is Associated With Inflammation and Severity of Atherosclerosis. Guest guest
Low sugar/starch and low polyunsaturated fats plus lots of the good fats, antioxidant-rich veggies and fruits should help. What is a desirable level of CRP? I've never seen a number for it before. Thanks, Jeanmarie On Sep 23, 2009, at 5:26 PM, repent_kog_is_near wrote: > My friend's Dad has come down with a CRP of 6.
