Guest guest
I have no idea how it'd do with fungus, but when my ears get sore (which is pretty rare, but it does happen), I just use a Q-tip dipped in peroxide to clean them out and they're fine immediately. It certainly couldn't hurt! -Lana

When I have trouble getting my ears to drain, usually one adjustment does the trick. I have certain portions of my neck and back that pop out of alignment easily and once they're out, it takes an adjustment to get them back in place since they almost never go back on their own. Guest guest
I recently discovered that my sinus problems were stemming from my ears, and I think it was from soapy water getting in them when I wash my hair. I was getting headaches that seemed sinus in origin, stiff neck, and some pressure in my eyes and ears. I looked up the CDC flu chart and saw that flu is very active right now and assumed my body was fighting off an infection. One night the headache got really bad so I was grumping at the kids and dh and I decided enough was enough. I prepared a spray bottle with Redmond's RealSalt dissolved in water with a few squirts of colliodial silver and started spraying it into the air on the fine mist setting then inhaling deeply of the " cloud " to line my airways with the salty water to kill the germs, remoisten my nasal passages, and get them to clear out whatever irritant was bothering them. On a whim, after my sinuses almost immediately improved, I put a squirt of the stuff in each ear as well, moving my head around until I could feel it getting in the deep part. My ears had been bothering me some as well, and I'd been getting out some earwax that was almost black. The headache began to recede almost immediately and the sinuses were instantly improved, but my ears started feeling worse, with a pressure feeling. I decided putting a liquid in them wasn't such a good idea and used those swimmers' dry ear drops in to dry them out. The dry ear drops stung the skin in my ears, which doesn't usually happen. It occurred to me then that I had been having ear discomfort since the beginning of this sinus thing, but it was mild so I wasn't paying attention. The next few days after showering I put the drops in again. Everything cleared up. I really think the whole time it was an ear problem. So maybe it's not a matter of what you're eating but of your personal hygeine habits and whether soapy water is getting left in your ears, destroying the body's natural protections in the ear canal against infections. Just a thought. I read on some website that a drop of iodine in each ear will clear almost any infection overnight. I tried it. It hurts really really really badly for about an hour. Not recommended unless you're truly desperate. --- In , Ernst <rachelernst.com@...> wrote: > > I'm getting frustrated and need some dietary or other holistic health ideas. > > First of all, what are the dietary restrictions for having a fungus in the > body? Guest guest
No need to apologize - it DOES hurt really bad. Can't be emphasized enough. At the same time, there might be a time I'd be desperate enough to try it again, I *think*. One hour of pain to clear an infection that's lasted 6 months? Maybe worth a try, if nothing else works. I'd try colloidial silver and DMSO first tho. And of course the dry ear drops. > >> > > >> > I'm getting frustrated and need some dietary or other holistic health > >> ideas. > >> > > >> > First of all, what are the dietary restrictions for having a fungus in the > >> > body? Guest guest
Have you looked into H2O2 treatment? If you google it you find scads of info. Guest guest
I've also used hydrogen peroxide 3% solution from the drugstore for earaches, but I actually poured a little in, kept my head horizontal while the solution popped in my ears a bit, held it as long as I could (it tickles!) before letting it drain out. I would think it would help fungus. There are ear drops with GSE in an oil base (grapefruit seed extract) which would be good for a follow-up after using the hydrogen peroxide. Obviously there's some imbalance going on that needs to be addressed by diet. If it is candida, for instance, sugar/alcohol etc are the likely culprits, and you need to re-establish good bacterial cultures throughout your body. I think if you clear it out topically and address diet/supplements at the same time, you should see some improvement. If you don't, I'd definitely go to an ENT specialist (ear, nose and throat: otolaryngologist or something like that) for expert help. Good luck!
