Guest guest
Hi All sorry for cross posting. My MIL is 72 has eaten healthy SAD most of her life. Grew up in Ireland/England - til late 20's. lived in Belgium and Japan for many yrs after. Settled in the US about 25 yrs ago. So her diet has been better than the typical SAD healthy version. She has always used butter, made yogurt, grew up wit hraw milk - unti lthe big TB scares of course now she is terrified of it, etc. Has limited grains for yrs cause she noticed she gained weight easier when eating them. Still very active - whips the pants off the 21 yr old's at her tennis tournaments, plays several times weekly. So she is def. in better shape than most Americans her age and has eaten a better diet over all. She recently had a lump removed that tested cancerous. They are scheduling her for a hysterectomy. My fear is the info i have read that ones the 'mother' is removed it allows the rest to grow..... So even if she has the hysterectomy, perhaps tumors elsewhere are going to rapidly start growing. Has never been the type to jump on any med's flung her way. Her docs all know she would rather be miserable and in pain for days as long as it would go away on it's own anything to stay off of any med's. But over all doc's advice will persuade her. She has never believed in taking vitamins either or drinking juice - " i prefer to get my vitamins from real food thank you " . Her boyfriend is a huge fan/follower of " Weil " (LOL) so i think she is more open to alternatives than she used to be. I found this info thinking she would look into/believe more if it was actually kind of mainstream. I have always read omit grains they feed cancer as does any form of sugar but they say honey and grains are good for fighting cancer. http://www.cancercenter.com/after-care-services/super-foods.cfm What would you advise your relative to do? I have the links for Iodine articles already = iodine connect, " Know The Cause " promotes fungus as the cancer link - avoid food's that feed yeast. Those are the only 2 i have really read up on. Can you point me to info that i can email/print off for her. Thanks
