Sorry I missed the first part of this exchange, but I was wondering--why

would you want to freeze dry pasta? It stays just fine on the shelf for

years and years--I know because I brought a case of my favorite brand home

with me from Italy, and it lasted five years until I used the last one up

last year (pre-diagnosis). Is there something about this kind of pasta that

makes it go bad, or what?

I get weevels in pasta, flour, etc... so I stick anything I'm not going to

use within a couple of weeks in the freezer
