Greetings.

I know the full story of it. It has happened with KNP+(Kolkata Network Of HIV

Positive). They hired a room for C.C.C in that area.But residents  of that area

started protest. From KNP+ and WBSACS wanted to solve this problem but they were

stick on their superstition.

My question is then where is the role role of " Bula Dee " ? Lots of money

spending for it but the result is nil.

 

I think our Positive Speaker will work effectavely instead of Bula Dee.Because

Bula Dee is concept but our positive speakers are not concept. What they will

say it will be from their living experience. Which will much more effective to

the mass to reduce stigma.

Because may be they are only listining what BUla Dee is saying but they even

did not see How HIV Positive People are looking like, they can not imagine that

a HIV Positive people can work heard, they can be laborious, thay have talent.

I think this will creat good image to the mass which can help reduce stigma.

First of all I would really appriciate Mr.Tarit's comments.Yes it is very much

true BULA DEE tried a lot,but the result is zero.

Friends if you come to Kolkata you will finf so many hordings are there. So many

ads you will see if you switch on your Bengali Cable channel,you will find so

many ads on the news paper on matrimonial section, if you are habituated with FM

radio, you will find always BULA DEE is saying something but the impact to the

mass is a big ZERO.

I think hare is the role of our Positive speaker who is living with HIV

virus,his/her voice will give more impact to the mass.

I am critising the WBSACS what they are trying it is very good but we should

think from other way also.In NACP-3 there is a big programme mainstreaming, may

it is happening but practically it happening, for example;-As a concept BULA DEE

is spreading awrness among the mass,they are listening but they are not seeing

HIV positive people.

So the mass will start dialog on HIV/AIDS without seeing any HIV Positive

people,how they look like,are they really fit for any job,always these type of

question will be in their mind.

So I would like to request to the Director of WBSACS and also to the IEC

Department of WBSACS,think of it and let the HIV Positive People be with BULA

DEE, really it may reduce stigma, I am saying because we have so many HIV

positive speaker even women and children also who are very much comfortable to

open their status.
