Guest guest
The best I can recommend is Dr. Bob Marshall in Round Rock Texas. His products are the best and he formulates a lot of what he sells and carries. I use them all the time and love them, especially the digestive line. His liquid B is a NanoBcomplex. Here is the web site and you can call them and give orders over the phone. They are very courteous and helpful. http://www.naturalhealthyellowpages.com/quantum/bob_marshall.html http://www.qncenter.com/store/home.php (This is the B Complex). --- In , " gailz059 " <gailz059@...> wrote: > > Hello, > > Can anyone suggest a good supplier of b vitamin products? I had found a good product with most of the b vitamins. It is Country Life and it seemed good because it was in powder form and it had some part of the b6 in PHP form. However it had a small amount of ALA which I do not want. The other b vitamin products that I have seen at the local health food store or at whole foods are in pellet form and they contain silica and other things that I don't want. If I could get powder form or a liquid form of the individual b vitamins that would be good too. I did try a liquid form of a b complex from Radiant Life but is has an alcohol base. I asked the vitamin people at both stores what they could recommend but they are only familiar with the products that they carry. If anyone has had a good experience with a particular brand I would appreciate any information that you can give me. > > Thanks, > > Gail >
Guest guest
I would recommend going with Now Foods low heat dried dessicated liver with fat still in it. Each serving is an oz of liver. It is the best source of b-vitamins you can get. Guest guest
Thanks for your information and . Regarding liver and B vitamins... If I cook liver am I losing all the benefits of the B vitamins? We have eaten cooked liver before but I always wondered how much value there is if it is cooked. I also wonder about whether liver (cooked or dried) is considered a glandular which would have hormonal properties. I know that this discussion has deviated from B vitamins but I just had to ask! Guest guest
This liver in particular was low heat dried. The only thing removed was the water content in it. Liver is by far the best source of the full spectrum of b vitamins. It also helps that this supplement is cheap and contains no additives. Guest guest
I'm wary of Argentinian sources of liver, which most liver supplements are. The ground water is contaminated with arsenic. AnnMarie @ Cheeseslave has an old post about this due to the fact that she had high levels of arsenic in her system. > > http://www.iherb.com/Now-Foods-Liver-Powder-12-oz-340-g/656?utm_source=nt & utm_me\ dium=c >
Guest guest
I doubt 1 oz of liver a day will lead to arsenic poisoning. If you're concerned maybe look into using zeolite and modifilan supplements for metal detox. DE would probably work too. Guest guest
Thorne has several options for B vitamins (with emphasis on different ones), and they do tend towards the active forms. I'd recommend looking into them. -Lana " The art of simplicity is a puzzle of complexity. I was taking their betaine HCl for years, when a friend told me his doctor tested his supplements (he's sick) and the lab found that NOW betaine HCl was contaminated with 3 heavy metals. The only specific one I remember for sure is nickel. He said that he thinks the info was sent to the NYC poison control dept. and that NOW is under investigation. Their products tend to be very cheap and I would imagine that is largely because the raw materials are low quality, and would guess a lot of it comes from China. China's a big wholesaler of supplement ingredients. With supplements, for the most part, I think you get what you pay for... Suze
Guest guest
Liver is cheap as it is. It's taken from the same place as more expensive liver supplements. Argentina. It's cheap because it's a powder. This is good though as there are no additives. I called the company and they dry it at 90 degrees for 9 hours. If you can name another liver powder supplement that is just as good or better I would appreciate it. For some reason they usually defat the liver. The dessicated liver WAPF promotes is only in capsule form and thus is far more expensive. Now's liver cost 1/6th the amount. Dr. Ron's (www.drrons.com) liver powder is from NZ and is additive-free, but not cheap like NOW. I bet Nutricology also has liver powder as well and they get glandulars from NZ and are usually reasonably priced. Suze
