Guest guest
Hi, I need some help/suggestions regarding the making of coconut yogurt. Just to let everyone know, I am posting this on several groups, so you might see this post in another group. I got a recipe online to make coconut yogurt. The recipe said to put a little coconut milk in jar, mix with whatever starter you're using (in my case I used 2 Tbs. of Fage yogurt), then pour in the rest of the coconut milk. Shake well and put in either warm place, oven with light on, yogurt maker, etc. I put my jar in oven with light on Tuesday night, left it in all day Wednesday and all Wednesday night and most of the day on today (Thursday). It never did thicken up at all and just smells like slightly sour coconut milk. The only thing I can think of that happened is I used the Mae Ploy coconut milk which is a bigger can than normal (19 oz.), so maybe I needed to use more starter than the 2 Tbs. I used? Or not used the whole can of coconut milk? Does anyone have any suggestions for me? Also any hope for saving what I've already started, or do I need to start all over?
