Guest guest
This weekend, my husband and I were finally able to visit our new naturo. I was diagnosed with Hypothyroid, pre-fibro..and some other yucky stuff. Husband came away with some other bad diagnoses..including candida and gluten-intolerance. So...back to teh title. We need a juicer. I were perfer not to have to purchase a Champion right now. My budget range at the moment is more " Jack Lalanne Power Juicer " . Are there any juicers in that price range that anyone woudl recommend? Thank you! Mrs B
Guest guest
Check the local Salvation Army and Goodwill thrift stores, I've seen juicers in them lots of times (yogurt makers too). Usually they work. Sometimes they've never been used. If it's $2, who cares if it's the best??? The Gerson people run stuff through a juicer or blender then put it in a muslin bag and squeeze to get more juice out - my juicer left so much moisture in the pulp I was tempted to do the same. Seriously think about the Specific Carbohydrate Diet - SCD for short. They have you stop eating everything that feeds the yeasts (because your body can no longer digest it anyways, which is why you're growing so much yeast) and there are lots of online support groups and recipes, etc. They say stuff like intolerances, candida, gluten sensitivity can often be cured in a year or two and then you can resume a normal but healthy diet. Also the SCD makes you feel great, tho it takes getting used to. Still, the rules are so simple, it's pretty easy to do. It's all based on the book " Breaking the Vicious Cycle " which you can find in the library sometimes. > > This weekend, my husband and I were finally able to visit our new naturo. Guest guest
I got my first juicer on Craig's List. My sister loves her Jack Lalane. If you decide to purchase that one, use one of those 20% coupons to get it at Bed, Bath, and Beyond. If you do decide to go with juicing, I " reconstitute " my pulp with bone broth for lunch! Very tasty! And nothing is wasted! Kathy From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of haecklers Sent: Monday, June 07, 2010 5:00 PM Subject: Re: Time to Purchase a Juicer...Help! Guest guest
You can go on Ebay too and find a good one cheaper than at the stores. Worth a try. > > > > This weekend, my husband and I were finally able to visit our new naturo. > I was diagnosed with Hypothyroid, pre-fibro..and some other yucky stuff. > Husband came away with some other bad diagnoses..including candida and > gluten-intolerance. > > > > So...back to teh title.
