Hi Marilyn,

I think the point is to eat a traditional diet full of WHOLE foods, not

isolated proteins. For example, when you eat grass fed beef, it contains

CLA, a fatty acid known to reduce cancer risk. When you get sunlight and/or

eat eggs from pastured hens, raw milk from grass fed cows, cod liver oil,

etc, you get vitamin D which also helps prevent cancer.

I'm not an expert, this is just my opinion.

Plant and animal protein do not " cause " cancer. They are required for growth.

For an infant, a bodybuilder, a recovering piece of injured tissue, or a cancer,

will all require protein for growth. Thus, if you dose an animal with a

carcinogen to cause a cancer, the tumor will grow more, all things being equal,

if you give it what it needs for growth.

However, whole foods not only contain protein (which does not cause cancer by

itself and is in fact healthful) but contain many other things that are

necesssary to prevent cancer or inhibit its growth.
