Guest guest
Thank you. I suppose I could try this, but the acid fizzing away in my oesophagus doesn't seem to occur in any discernible pattern, ie after eating, which you might expect. It comes in odd bursts throughout the day. Also I don't get any burning in my chest after taking the HCl which I would expect if it was in excess of what I needed? > +++Hi . You may not need HCl supplements any longer, so that may be causing your reflux/GERD. > > Bee >

Guest guest
Hi Bee Yes I think so, though my blood sugar regulation is still awful at times, esp pre-menstrually- that's when I get a very strong candida craving, and ironically it's after eating that I get this sensation of being starving... inbetween meals it's easier to control my appetite. My feeling is that candida is quite active in my stomach, which is why I still need the HCl (and without it the flatulence seems to be worse). > +++Hi , > > Are you sure you are eating enough foods, since hunger causes your body to produce a hormone that stimulates stomach acid production? > > Bee >

Are you consistently meeting your calculated protein, fat and carb ratios? Have you been on my candida program for 3 years, or another kind? Do you test your blood sugar, or does it just " feel like " you have low blood sugar? I hope you realize that detoxifying symptoms feel just like low blood sugar symptoms. Do you mean you get a strong craving for sugars pre-menstrually? If you were completely on my program for so long you wouldn't have any active candida in your stomach. There are other things you need to do to improve your digestion as listed here: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/intro2.php#s28 Bee
Guest guest
Yes, I am doing all these things. I am detoxing as well, which is why it seems so peculiar to develop acid reflux whilst other symptoms are improving. I have a real problem with some of the more fibrous veggies and still can't cope with these, i.e. broccoli. >

In addition, if you have ever had acid reflux issues or similar digestive problems in the past when you are on my program your body will be retracing them as it heals itself, so getting those symptoms again it normal. Question 5: Have you every had those symptoms in the past? All the best, Bee
Guest guest
Hi Bee Sorry, in answer to your questions: > > 1) Are you consistently meeting your calculated protein, fat and carb ratios? I checked this and realised my fat quota is not high enough, so I am remedying this- my protein was too high, so will try and bring it down (though this is hard as it does really help with the hunger) > > 2) Have you been on my candida program for 3 years, or another kind? It's your programme, but I have found it very hard to cope without emergency foods such as nuts when I am out and about. I know this is a problem, but find it virtually impossible to get round when I am out and about and unable to get anything I can eat. I do make most of my own food but I have a family and I can't always make two lots of meals. I do a lot of the time, and I usually make sure I can get food from home, but sometimes this is just not possible. I don't want to start beating myself up about my lack of compliance anymore than I already do (which is a lot) as this doesn't help me. > > 3) Do you test your blood sugar, or does it just " feel like " you have low blood sugar? > I can get 'crashy' pre-menstrually, and angry, irritable etc, which would seem to me to be low BS, as it's improved by eating. I do try not to let it get to that stage, and you're right that sometimes the reflux comes if I go too long without food. But actually it comes at other times of the day totally randomly, and not just after eating. 4) Do you mean you get a strong craving for sugars pre-menstrually? It's not just sugar, I can't seem to satisfy my hunger, even with a load of fats and adequate protein. Generally this is ok except before my period. My period has always been the big issue and sabotages my progress, which is why I get so despairing, and then guilty, which just makes me feel anxious and like I may as well give up! > > > > Question 5: Have you every had those symptoms in the past? No, never, which is why I am so mystified and frankly anxious about it. As I say, my Mum has it and her father had it and then died young of oesophageal cancer. This is why it makes me feel so fed up as I've made progress in other areas (fatigue, mood, sleep) and this just makes me feel powerless, as if my family predisposition is just inevitable. Anyway, possibly it will go away again just as it appeared.. I'm hoping so. Thank you for your reply >

You aren't really on this program unless you are getting the lower range of your fat ratios since the fats are so important for healing, cleansing, detoxifying, etc. +++You can consume as much protein as you wish as long as your fats are high enough, but it is also important to keep your carbs low. > > > > 2) Have you been on my candida program for 3 years, or another kind? > > It's your programme, but I have found it very hard to cope without emergency foods such as nuts when I am out and about. My period has always been the big issue and sabotages my progress, which is why I get so despairing, and then guilty, which just makes me feel anxious and like I may as well give up! +++You will get hunger pangs until you are meeting your ratios consistently enough as noted above. Your pre-menstrual issues will subside when you are consistently on this program long enough like they have for many women since this program helps your body balance out its hormones. > > > Question 5: Have you ever had those symptoms in the past? > > No, never, which is why I am so mystified and frankly anxious about it. Stress also affects hormones, including those that cause hunger pangs and acid reflux, so do deep breathing exercises and believe in your body's ability to heal itself if you do this program accurately and consistently.
