Low progestrone levels during initial pregnancy

Hi,

My friend had just missed her period and the pregnancy test came out positive.

However, her Obs./Gyn. says that her progesterone levels are too low.

The doc. said that progesterone levels should usually double in their level

during the first and second months. And if that does not happen, the pregnancy

will not continue.

My friend is a little anxious as to what can be done about it.

Can anyone throw some light on this ?
